I actually watched the news today for about 30 minutes. There were a number of stories being told about a number different topics I am guessing the general public considers news worthy. There was one thing that was obviously different from say, 10 years ago. Politicians, military leaders, all leaders for that matter don't seem to be subtle about what their agenda, their "real" agenda is anymore.
My point is; what will happen to the Conspiracy Theorist? With people and things like Michael Moore, the Internet, Photoshop, etc. how does something like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, Tarzan, 9/11, Fear, UFO's etc.... ever gain any "Staying Power"? Also, not to mention the relatively new awareness of Shamanism, The Law of Distraction, Quantum Physics, The Power of Myth, Toltec Teachings, etc.
I am affirming a new theory. We, collectively in consciousness, have entered the belly of the whale. The darker it gets, the more we see.

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sat, November 7, 2009 - 7:39 PMAnd yet conspiracy theories still get traction among otherwise intelligent people. It is rare that a person who believes in one outlandish theory will be in the least bit skeptical about others. People who believe the moon landings were faked usually believe in the 9/11 conspiracy of the day. Indeed conspiracy theories have become an industry with people like Alex Jones or David Icke. The more fundamentalistic conspiracy nuts will site a disproven book like Protocols off the Elders of Zion or site the Illuminati, a group that disloved centuries ago.
Minutes after news broke of the massacre at Ft. Hood the other day wing nuts at Free Republic claimed it was staged by President Obama to distract attention from the rally aginst the health care reform bill. Those same tinfoil hats also believe that Obama is not really a citizen or is a secret Muslim. They also believed the lie about death panels (not the real one where access to health care is based on something as arbitrary as the ability to pay)
The internet has provided those who believe in paranoid conspiracys a new forum and new life.

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sat, November 7, 2009 - 7:46 PMThere will be a revolution of the mind..
It's a subtle shift.. but lives will be changed..
'The human experience of life is going to be different..
Matters of the spirit are acknowledge by more and more people..
The wizards will take care of it...
They will hold up the mirrors for the blind.
As they have done for ages...
But the wizards of the Beast are strong as well..
they makes promises of pleasure... but it's an illusion.
There will be riots..... I predict......
People will fall under flames....
The systemshock is in many human hearts..
And it takes truth to ignite a bomb...
It takes wisdom to wait...
What freedoms are there to possess..
Is this really all I need..?
Stuck in your own junk you are...
It's okay to say.. "Fuck the system.."
The system:
Like a pre-laid structure back from the insect-days..
There's friction and chance..
There's wins and losses..
There's tics there's shivers..
But they never take the fires from the heart..
That dances in midnight fires where souls meet. ...
That shows their mates they love 'm
That open heart with sunlight rays....
That god that resides in all of us that breath...
THat who sucked their mothers teet
Who laughed and cried.
Who grew up and is now really high...
What about that guys...?
I need to get some sleep.. -

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 5:37 AMI see the Beast as anything material or structured systems, the machine anyone surrenders to. If you are totally immersed in a system you are not as Joseph Campbell said, "following you bliss".

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 5:43 AMThis beast is the force behind the denial of life..
That draws souls from pools to stack them in orders..
Spiritual orders...
That keeps minds numb for a bigger system..
A system like.. economy..defense.. war..
The free spirits will detach from this system..
There are those that believe in this system for self-preservation..
And preservation of their kinship..
THese are people who create in the name of destruction..
To destroy the free soul to feed of it..
The eyes are set on kill..
The hair on the back is raised...
Attacking for surviving..
Attacking in the rage...
With teeth hungry for blood..
With lips curled..
Blaring nostrils
Steaming breath...
Confronting death...
Primal screams...
Like roaring dinosaurs...
Pillars.. crashing...burning...
It ends in red..
Pools of blood..
Where limbs and fur float..
Rumors from the waterfront..
Where trading in bones is business
"A shift is seen on heaven's horizon,
Dragons of light flood the gates.
It's called "The passage of beginning"
The wizards have found the key..
Shape-shifted into darkness...
...explorers of the underworld..
They say there will be war...
They say we'll be destroyed...
What should we do..
What should we do..!!"
So they call their master
"THE RAGING BEAST"
His presence is like a storming comet..
Heading for the world..
Heading for destruction.
With an aura that turns souls to stone.
With rays that induce fear...
With a spirit that makes the brave weak
...and melts them in their armor.
He appears in the mind's eye as a screaming mask of rage...
With the eyes of a hunting snake...

Are you kidding? That's a simple matter. Don't underestimate the power of persuasion or disinformation:

Let's face it, if it weren't for the load of nonsense out there where would our oportunity to realize our own minds and self-autonomy come from? All that stuff's a blessing. -

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 8:30 AMI am not a Conspiracy Theorist.
I am a Conspiracy Realist.
We are Conspiring together
Breathing together
The breath that Jesus breathed,
The breath of Aradia,
Of Enki and of every animal of Earth, Sea, and Sky,
We are sharing the breath of each other
And breathing together
With that great energy
What shall we create???!!!
Together. -

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 9:48 AMThat is the thing..
The creative flame has been lost in many..
They are fed dimmer lights by machines..
To keep them satisfied and docile..
Like a sugar rush which burns very bright for a short time but will leave you weaker.. craving for more..
The sense of self in most people is hung up on false morals and ideals..
Machines will tell you what you are for benefit of their own purposees..
They will shapeshift your soul to the perfect coil to keep their mechanics running.
Only awareness of the machne will keep you on your toes..
Not to be sucked into it's vortex of seductive illusions..
What shall we create.?
Heaven on earth...
A haven in every soul..
As we gain more knowledge of what we are made of..
How these structures work..
To live from our higher selves and care for everything the world offers.. -

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 9:53 AMI read this somewhere...
"I promise to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. That I will never accept what I am told. That I will never fall in love with safety and forget liberty. I promise that I will look for the lie in every pretty story and the bribe in every convenience."
I thought that was pretty cool. -

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Sun, November 8, 2009 - 10:15 AMI like that quote, too, Geert.
It reminds me of this song:
I Had a Dream I Was Falling Through a Hole in the Ozone Layer
Oh precious land
You're in the wrong hands
Stretched every way like a rubber band
I'm calling out to all Earth fans
Come on, give a damn,
and take a stand
I had a dream, I had a dream
I was falling through a hole in the ozone layer
When you slurp your slurpie in a dixie cup
Always pick every piece of litter up
Recycle cans, paper and plastic
Call your politicians, ask for it
'cause years after years after years after you're gone
This old world has to keep on
Keep the hope spinning
Keep the hope spinning the globe
We breathe the future and yet we're choking
We breathe the future and we start to choke
I see a factory blowing purple smoke
Keep the hope spinning
Keep the hope spinning the globe
Mother Earth's hope is spinning
She keeps the hope spinning the globe
The animals are endangered
Mother nature is a stranger
How do we measure nuclear waste?
Electric cars and solar TV
Organic food - the things that we need
And if you still don't understand
The information is at your hands
So make demands
Demands in this world you would like to see
Convenience is the enemy
Keep the hope spinning
Keep the hope spinning the globe
Mother Earth's hope is spinning
She keeps the hope spinning the globe

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Wed, November 11, 2009 - 10:30 PMFrom what I understand, with my limited access to classified documents: ( unlike people who seem to have them and feel comfortable in belittling/demeaning people and calling people conspiracy theorists...)
The Shamanic hispanics who lived through dictatorships in south america had a word for the wandering souls living in a totalitarian state. The word described a soul who had it's head ripped off and put back on backwards. so when it tried to walk toward something (love/freedom/light), it would walk in the opposite direction, never reaching, but always seeing, it's goal(the audacity of hope is to blaim for this ). -

Re: The death of the conspiracy theory....
Fri, November 27, 2009 - 10:49 PMReminds me of Frank Zappa's lyrics to Trouble Every Day
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I'm about to get sick
From watchin' my TV
Been checkin' out the news
Until my eyeballs fail to see
I mean to say that every day
Is just another rotten mess
And when it's gonna change, my friend
Is anybody's guess
So I'm watchin' and I'm waitin'
Hopin' for the best
Even think I'll go to prayin'
Every time I hear 'em sayin'
That there's no way to delay
That trouble comin' every day
No way to delay
That trouble comin' every day
Wednesday I watched the riot . . .
Seen the cops out on the street
Watched 'em throwin' rocks and stuff
And chokin' in the heat
Listened to reports
About the whisky passin' 'round
Seen the smoke and fire
And the market burnin' down
Watched while everybody
On his street would take a turn
To stomp and smash and bash and crash
And slash and bust and burn
And I'm watchin' and I'm waitin'
Hopin' for the best
Even think I'll go to prayin'
Every time I hear 'em sayin'
That there's no way to delay
That trouble comin' every day
No way to delay
That trouble comin' every day
Well, you can cool it,
You can heat it . . .
'Cause, baby, I don't need it . . .
Take your TV tube and eat it
'N all that phony stuff on sports
'N all the unconfirmed reports
You know I watched that rotten box
Until my head begin to hurt
From checkin' out the way
The newsman say they get the dirt
Before the guys on channel so-and-so
And further they assert
That any show they'll interrupt
To bring you news if it comes up
They say that if the place blows up
They will be the first to tell,
Because the boys they got downtown
Are workin' hard and doin' swell,
And if anybody gets the news
Before it hits the street,
They say that no one blabs it faster
Their coverage can't be beat
And if another woman driver
Gets machine-gunned from her seat
They'll send some joker with a brownie
And you'll see it all complete
So I'm watchin' and I'm waitin'
Hopin' for the best
Even think I'll go to prayin'
Every time I hear 'em sayin'
That there's no way to delay
That trouble comin' every day
No way to delay
That trouble comin' every day
Hey, you know something people?
I'm not black
But there's a whole lots a times
I wish I could say I'm not white
Well, I seen the fires burnin'
And the local people turnin'
On the merchants and the shops
Who used to sell their brooms and mops
And every other household item
Watched the mob just turn and bite 'em
And they say it served 'em right
Because a few of them are white,
And it's the same across the nation
Black and white discrimination
Yellin' "You can't understand me!"
'N all that other jazz they hand me
In the papers and TV and
All that mass stupidity
That seems to grow more every day
Each time you hear some nitwit say
He wants to go and do you in
Because the color of your skin
Just don't appeal to him
(No matter if it's black or white)
Because he's out for blood tonight
You know we got to sit around at home
And watch this thing begin
But I bet there won't be many live
To see it really end
'Cause the fire in the street
Ain't like the fire in the heart
And in the eyes of all these people
Don't you know that this could start
On any street in any town
In any state if any clown
Decides that now's the time to fight
For some ideal he thinks is right
And if a million more agree
There ain't no Great Society
As it applies to you and me
Our country isn't free
And the law refuses to see
If all that you can ever be
Is just a lousy janitor
Unless your uncle owns a store
You know that five in every four
Just won't amount to nothin' more
Gonna watch the rats go across the floor
And make up songs about being poor
Blow your harmonica, son!
--------------------------------------------
Brilliant innit..?
